CAROLYN BRIDGER, Professor of Piano and Accompanying and Coordinator of the Piano Accompanying program, has concertized extensively both as soloist and collaborative artist. Her engagements have taken her throughout the U.S. (including Carnegie/Weill Recital Hall), Canada, South America, the Azores Islands and Southeast Asia. Among her credits are solo appearances with the Atlanta, Baltimore and Tallahassee Symphonies; the Schubert Prize for Accompanying in Austria; and research grants for the study and performance of chamber music and song literature. She has appeared frequently on radio and television on four continents.

In demand as a teacher and chamber music coach, Dr. Bridger has presented master classes in such places as Malaysia and the Dalmatian Islands. She has taught at Emory University, the University of North Carolina, and Delta State University, as well as at the International Summer School in Stari Grad (Croatia), and the Grand Teton, Red Lodge and Tidewater Music Festivals. Dr. Bridger joined the FSU faculty in 1976, and she is also Resident Director of the FSU Study-Abroad Summer Program in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
