Membership Benefits
 
Tickets to the School of Music Subscription Series with free reserved parking. This is a series of 14 events, presented from September through April, including orchestra, choral, band, opera, and jazz. The number of tickets you receive varies with your membership level. No tickets or reserved parking are provided with the $60 membership.
 
The opportunity to reserve seats prior to the general public for heavily attended special events, including the very popular PRISM concert (a band extravaganza), the World Music Rainbow Concert (featuring non-stop performances of our various world music ensembles), and the University Symphony Orchestra featuring soloist Bobby McFerrin during the Seven Days of Opening Nights Festival.
 
This year, the subscription series will include guest artist Marcus Roberts performing with the FSU Jazz Ensemble, and a PRISM-styled brass concert featuring award-winning brass groups from all across the country. Also, each of the University Symphony Orchestra concerts will have a special guest conductor who is auditioning for the permanent position of Director of Orchestral Activities at FSU.
 
The monthly School of Music calendar. This will be your guide to over 450 musical performances per year. You will also receive monthly letters from the Dean of the School of Music with information about special activities and programs.
 

Invitations to special programs and events, such as:

  • a Sunday afternoon informal recital presented in a party-like setting
  • pre-performance lectures
  • post-performance receptions for selected events
  • guest artist master classes
  • a house concert by School of Music students for Associates at the Gold Circle level ($1,000)
Recognition of your gift in the programs of the 14-event subscription series and in the Annual Donor Listing in the School of Music Alumni Magazine.
